Residential Development Conveyancer

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a busy residential property team based in Leeds. This is a permanent position focused on high-volume, fast-paced transactions within a residential development and part exchange environment.\n\nYou will manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters independently from instruction through to completion, including leasehold and freehold transactions. The role will involve acting on behalf of housebuilders and developers, dealing with plot sales and part exchange properties.\n\nYou will handle all aspects of the conveyancing process including drafting and issuing legal documentation, managing pre-contract enquiries, reviewing titles and searches, negotiating contracts, overseeing exchanges, completions, and post-completion work such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations.\n\nThis is a fast-moving role where efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential.\n\nCompany Benefits:\n\n * Competitive salary circa £55,000\n\n * Performance-related bonus\n\n * Strong progression and development opportunities\n\n * Flexible and supportive working culture\n\n * Benefits package including pension, health support, and lifestyle perks\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently\n\n * Handle freehold and leasehold transactions\n\n * Work on part exchange and plot sale matters for new build properties\n\n * Draft and issue contract packs and legal documentation\n\n * Respond to and raise pre-contract enquiries\n\n * Review title documents and property searches\n\n * Negotiate and progress transactions to exchange and completion\n\n * Manage post-completion formalities including SDLT and Land Registry applications\n\n * Deliver a high standard of service within strict turnaround times\n\nExperience and Skills Requirements\n\n * Minimum 3–5 years’ residential conveyancing experience\n\n * Confident managing your own caseload without supervision\n\n * Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions\n\n * Excellent communication and client relationship skills\n\n * Highly organised with strong attention to detail\n\n * Able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment\n\n * Proactive, professional, and commercially aware\n\n * Strong IT skills and case management experience\n\nIf you have not been contacted within 5 working days, then unfortunately on this occasion your CV has not been shortlisted
